What Is A Bad Credit Credit Card?
Executive Summary By: John M Stafford

A bad credit credit card is a phrase which describes credit cards issued to individuals with bad credit ratings. “Bad credit credit cards” provide a chance for people with less than perfect credit to obtain a credit line and possibly improve their credit rating.

Another term that is sometimes used to describe bad credit credit cards is “secured credit cards”. Secured credit cards require users to deposit cash into their account prior to using the account. Doing so allows these customers to develop a history of responsible credit card use with the issuer.

If you’re interested in applying for a bad credit credit card, there are many choices available. There are 3 factors that you should really take into consideration before submitting your application.

1. What type of credit limit you can realistically expect from the credit card issuer.

2. What fees are imposed on cardholders and the interest rate you’ll be charged when carrying a balance

3. What is the minimum balance (if any) that you’ll be expected to keep on deposit with the card issuer

Bad credit credit cards are an excellent way for those with poor credit ratings to get back on track. If you apply for one of these credit cards, remember to use it responsibly and avoid misusing your newly acquired line of credit.

Finding Quality Bad Credit Credit Cards
Executive Summary By: Morgan Hamilton

People with bad credit may think that there are no decent bad credit credit cards. In fact, bad credit credit cards exist, but they are not always advertised as such.

A prepaid credit card is one of the best bad credit credit cards. It requires a savings account be opened that acts as the account balance. It works very much like a bank issued debit card with a credit card logo. And a person cannot overspend and they are not subject to fees or interest charges with prepaid credit cards.

A retail store card could also be considered as a type of bad credit credit cards. These cards can only be used at the specific retail store that issued them, and they usually carry a low credit line balance. Companies who offer these cards are more willing to give a person with bad credit a chance than larger credit card companies.

A person with bad credit can also benefit from a gasoline card. These cards work only at gas stations, much like a retail credit card. These cards are also easy to get and report to the major credit bureaus. This means that they build a person’s credit so they can qualify for a credit card from one of the major credit card companies.

A person can also find someone who will co-sign in order to get bad credit credit cards. The credit card company considers them as security. If the person does not pay on their account the cosigner agrees to pay the balance due.

[...] Having lousy FICO scores, as we all know, affects our ability to pull out loans. As for the lending companies that do accept our request to borrow money, the rates we have to agree to are ridiculously high and the terms ludicrously unfair. The same thing does go to availing credit cards armed with pathetic credibility, also known to many as bad credit credit cards. [...]
